What HIPAA Protects
HIPAA establishes national standards to safeguard PHI — any individually identifiable health information that we create, receive, maintain, or transmit, including:
- Names, addresses, dates of birth, and other identifying details.
- Medical histories, diagnoses, examination findings, and treatment plans.

We may use and disclose your PHI for the following purposes, as permitted by HIPAA:
- Treatment — providing, coordinating, or managing your chiropractic care.
- Payment — billing and collecting payment for services rendered.
- Healthcare Operations — quality assessment, training, credentialing, and general business activities of the practice.
- As Required by Law — including public health reporting, legal proceedings, and law enforcement requests.
Any other uses or disclosures of your PHI will be made only with your written authorization, which you may revoke at any time in writing.
Your Rights
Under HIPAA, you have the right to:
- Inspect and obtain a copy of your medical and billing records.

We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI. This includes restricted access to records, secure storage, staff training, and regular review of our privacy practices.
